World famous Aarkee Garba of Vadodara comes back after 11 years
Maa Foundation Trust, a charitable trust formed by the Sandesara group of Vadodara has decided to make a big entry this Navratri by organising Maa Aarkee Garba at Vaccine Institute's ground on Old Padra Road. The funds generated through this Navratri event will go towards Vadodara Traffic Education Trust (VTET). Singer Achal Mehta of Rishabh group will once again sing for Maa Aarkee Garba this year. For the first time in the country, line array music system from Europe will be introduced in this event of Maa Aarkee Garba.

The state government with help of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan team demolished nearly 75 residence and shops built on Government land. The land acquired after demolition drive measures nearly 15,000 sq. mt. which is valued at Rs. 75 crore.

Any Time Rickshaw (ATR) Service launched in Vadodara city.
Any Time Rickshaw (ATR) service launched in Vadodara city with its call centre at Ahmedabad. Operators will attend calls there and relay messages to the rickshaw owners here. So far 100 rickshaws has joined this service and 35 out of 100 have agreed to provide round-the-clock service.

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan plans for signboards
Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) has plans to put up 69 overhead gentry signboards, 300 road or junction name plates and 100 information signboards across the city. The boards will have space for advertising and the contractor shall have to erect these on a build, operate and transfer basis. Fresh tenders for the same will be issued soon.

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) is planning to form a company for Vishvamitri River Project. VMSS has approached the state government seeking approval to convert the Vishwamitri project into a corporate endeavour. A proposal for the same was recently moved and approved in the general board meeting. VMSS wants to take up the entire project professionally and that is why it is necessary to convert it into a company.
